I haven’t read Bird by Bird either, though I know many writers love it. I’m eager to join and read the other books too!

So many great books on the list already, so I'm looking forward to it!

This sounds like fun! Is there a list of dates and is sign up required in advance?

Sign up is not required in advance, you can just show up the day of the meeting, even if you haven't read the book and just want to listen in on the discussion!

Plus there is always a writers' hangout portion after the book discussion, where we talk about publishing Qs etc.

Thank you, this is very helpful! And that's wonderful about being able to listen even if we haven't read or finished the book. There is so much to be gained either way, thanks for offering this ❤️ 📚

Hi Angela, no list of dates yet, but it's usually a Sunday near the end of each month. I send out the invitation and Zoom link at the end of the prior month when I post the video recording of the most recent meeting. So for example, our last meeting was on Sunday, Oct 27th, and I posed the recording on Tuesday Oct 29th along with the next meeting's book discussion Qs and invitation link to RSVP and get the Zoom link.

Hope that helps!

These sound great. 👍 I've read the Stuart Tarton book and look forward to rereading it again because I was confused with some parts. It will be fun to do a deep dive into it.

I’m so bamboozled by it being the 7.5 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I have this book but my copy is only 7! Is it a regional difference?

are you in the UK or AUS/NZ?

Expand full comment

Yep, UK!

If you attend that meeting, you’ll have to show us your copy so we can see the cover and different title!

YES!! It's 7 in the UK and 7 1/2 in the US because the sales (or marketing?) folk here thought Americans would be more intrigued if they added the 1/2. At least, that's what I heard.

Wild, isn't it?? I love little surprising tidbits like that.
