On a side note, as someone who grew up playing softball and saw A League of Their Own in the theater when it came out, I'm not surprised that Erin's book is so popular. In addition to having an A-list cast/director and great writing, it felt very empowering to me as a young woman in the 90s. I recently watched it again with my teen daughter, and she loved it as well. :)
