I love this interview. I learned alot about the agenting and editorial process which is very helpful. I also come to writing very late in life and I love her response about aging and writing. She's right...there is nothing left to lose but time.
9 years in the making?! Alka you have some patience!
There should be a book/series made called The Day Before The Pandemic, focusing on all the life changing events that were about to happen for people such as Alka and then everything shut down.
I loved Alka's encouragement; 'Why not start now, you might as well, you are going to die anyway!' Great interview thank you.
What an inspiring way to write, be and live! And sorry, I just couldn’t get over how beautiful Alka is!! :) Thank you Evelyn for introducing her and her work.
She has such a beautiful spirit that really shines, doesn't she? And did you see her jewelry? (If you listen closely, you can hear the bells on her rings jingling during the episode.)
I'm really happy you enjoyed this one, Imola, and hope you enjoy her books!
I really loved this interview. I felt so inspired and now I'm visualising my novel on Netflix!!! I love that there are second career writers out there. Thank you.
It was perfect timing for your Note the other day about wondering if you were too late to become a published author. I'm glad this interview arrived at this moment for you, Barb!
Thank you so much for the great interview. It was super exciting to listen to Alka Joshi talk about how she became an author. And I also love India and will definitely read "The Henna Artist” soon. 🌷✨️
Another great episode and guest, Evelyn! Thanks for creating such a great community. I loved hearing Alka’s story and how her book series is a tribute to her mom. So inspiring and such great advice she gave. 🥰
Such a rich interview- filled with ideas, hope, and joyful solidarity. Thanks, Alka and Evelyn!
Hooray! Glad this one was so uplifting for you, Karen! Cheering you on over here!

Your comment inspired me to make a video clip of that exact moment, Rosie!
Lol! It deserves a spotlight moment for sure! 😄

Yes, of course I noticed (and heated!) the jewellery. Both of you together feel like a treat!
