Looks so cool! Curious as to how it felt to be the author of the book—does anyone on stage acknowledge you for the original idea? Or is book optioning so common in hollywood, that authors don't really get a mention at these things? Either way looks like a total blast!
Hollywood is in the business of scooping up ideas rather than specific writing, so in the whole, long process of making a film, any source material--whether it's a novel or an original screenplay--gets revised so many times during the years it takes to make the movie, that in the end, it's a true collaboration of all the writers involved. However, it was really cool to see my headshot on the Red Carpet team's clipboard of who should be walking that red carpet!
